[our practitioners]

All our practitioners are members of the BAaC

We currently have two full time acupuncturists

At Community Spirit you will always be seen by a Licensed Acupuncturist (Lic.Ac.), who is a full member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAaC). This means that they have undergone a thorough, three year training programme at degree level, and that they will maintain high standards of health, safety, and privacy at all times before, during and after your treatment.

Our practitioners have been trained in Chinese Medical Theory. This means that they consider the root cause of your condition and aim to treat you holistically, based on the principles of restoring harmony and balance.

Lenka Bacikova
Lenka became interested in holistic medicine after reading her first book about energy medicine when she was 15. Although she felt drawn to this field ever since, the journey of her life took her to study Economics and Management. Not long before she graduated from these studies she undertook courses in basics of Chinese Medicine, Cupping, Nutrition and Lymphatic Massage at the Shiatsu centre in the Czech Republic. These courses strongly reminded her of her passion for holistic medicine and influenced her further journey.
Lenka studied Acupuncture at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Currently she works at the Community Spirit Acupuncture Project and at the Wimbledon Clinic of Natural Medicine. She is also undertaking a Master degree course in Chinese Herbal Medicine at the Westminster University.

Andrew Nuttall
Since studying Chinese philosophy during his Psychology degree, Andrew has had a strong interest in Oriental thought. He has studied Gongfu (Kung Fu) and Qigong (Chi Gung) with Sifu Shi Yanzi at the Shaolin Temple, and is experienced in using Ba Duan Jin (Eight Pieces of Brocade) and Shoalin Nei Gong (Internal Energy Work) for improving and maintaining health. Subsequently, he studied acupuncture at LCTA. He is particularly interested in using acupuncture to treat psycho-emotional disorders, such as stress, anxiety, schizophrenia, and depression.
